RELIEF TO PRISONERS |
As a relief to prisoners in Central Jail (Kot Lakhpat) Lahore Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan distributed Five Hundred Blankets and Sweaters to the inmates who have no  contacts with their families and no support from any other sources. Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan provided medical equipment, arranged a shed for prisoners & rooms for them in the jail. Spectacles, Medicines, Qurbani meat on Eid ul Adha are some of the facilities provided to prisoners on regard basis by Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan. |

For Buner & Dir Lower IDPs

Due to the military operation in Dir lower and Buner, mass exodus has started as thousands of men, women and children are on the move. The displaced people are traveling to safer places within their districts as well as to the adjacent areas of Dir upper, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, Peshawar, Malakand Agency for shelter.
An estimated 70000 people are displaced due to fighting in Dir Lower and Buner, while more than 300000 (three hundred thousand) affected. Migration of the panicked people has resulted emergency situation in the neighboring district Swabi, Mardan and Dir Upper as well. More than 180 people killed and many other injured in the last four days. Hundreds of thousands of people are still stranded in the conflict zone and are struggling to move to safer places. Due to continuous curfew and blockade of main roads in the troubled areas, people are struggling to get out of these areas.
Al-Khidmat Foundation has established a dozen relief camps at Dir lower, Dir upper, Malakand Agency, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda and Peshawar to respond the situation.In the last four days, more than 45000 IDPs have been registered at the relief camps.
Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan is trying to provide food, temporary shelter, medical and transport facilities at the relief camps.

EMERGENCY SITUATION at
WAZIRISTAN & BAJUAR |
|
What is going on?
The tragedy of Swat & Buner districts of NWFP was not settled yet, another crises has been commenced on Bajuar, North & South Waziristan agencies of FATA. IDPs of Swat & Buner districts are still in critical situation and their lives have not been normalized but the circumference of this unjust war has been increased towards other parts of NWFP & FATA. This conflict has resulted into another mass migration of local people towards peaceful areas in search of peace & shelter.
Recent military operations in the Bajuar Agency (around Mohmund and Salarzai) have caused new displacements into safer places of Bajuar agency and lower Dir District. At this stage, the total number of Internally Displaced families is almost 1500 .The initial government plans were to accommodate the newly displaced at Jalozai Camp in Nowshera District; however those displaced from Bajuar Agency preferred to stay in the region.
On the other side registration of new IDPs from Waziristan has re-started and some 60-70 families (420-490 people) are reaching D.I. Khan and Tank Districts daily. It is important to mention here that the estimate for displacement from Waziristan due to conflict is round about 220,000 and over 77,000 IDPs have been already registered in DI Khan & Tank districts. NGOs working in these districts have been asked by District authorities to resume their humanitarian assistance; aid had been halted based on security advice from the authorities. |

Second Container arrived on 29th June 2009 with 550 imported Wheel Chairs for Free Distribution in all Regions of Pakistan. After strict scrutiny on merit, free wheelchairs are gifted to those men & women who can enhance quality of their life and also feed their dependents through increased mobility. |

We are thankful to Mrs. Laura Ava-Tesimale for her visit to our Projects & guiding us to approach Free Wheel Chairs Mission (FWM) in USA. This organisation in USA is well known for their efficiency & commitment to help disabled people by providing gift of mobility. First lot of 550 free wheelchairs were sent to Azad Kashmir, NWFP, Baluchistan, Sindh & Punjab. Almost all regions of Pakistan were provided s share but number of wheel chairs was not enough to meet the demand. Considering large number of applications & our free distribution arrangements in wide area of Pakistan, in USA promised to send “thousands” of Chairs during next years. |

Al-Khidmat has distributed the sacrificial meat of worth RS.80 million among needy, earth quake affected, prisons, & tribles areas on this Eid-ul-Azha. |
While addressing in a meeting regarding Qurban Project general secretary Syed Ahsanullah Waqs informed the other members that on this Eid,Al-khidmat has arranged RS.80 million for collective sacrificial animals. He said that regional directors will look after the project whereas delegations from America, Britannia, Turkey, Malaysia and Germany have arrived in Pakistan to look after the project.

In the first phase, bags were distributed with the financial help of Europe based NSO, Islamic Community of Milli Gors. While addressing to the bag distribution ceremony secretary General Al-khidmat & ex- provincial minister Syed Ahsanullah Waqas said that if intelligent student would facilities. They can serve the country and Nation in all fields. Adding he said that Foundation is spreading education and character Building through 200 schools across the city Lahore. IGMA correspondent also appreciated Al-khidmat Services. |

while addressing to the key distribution ceremony al-khidmat's president Niamatullah khan said that employment to unemployed is our priority in this regard Foundation has set up H.R. Management & also easy loan schemes in different areas including earth-quake affected. He added that distribution of Rickshaws is a practical step to end the unemployment. In this ceremony free rickshaws were given to Malik Ghulam Ali from sargoda, Anaitullah Quita, Abdurehman Muzafarabad, shah jahan D.J.K. and Abdulsubhan from Tandu adam khan.
Ceremony was also attended by. Searatry General Syed Waqas, provencial president Rashid Dawood and Chief Exective Pak Star Auto Mobile Waqas Butt.

Al-Khidmat releases 12 prisoners after paying allegations from Adiala Jail.

Community development department of Al-khidmat has paid fine for the release of 12 prisoners who could not pay and were destroying lives in the jail.
Released persons are Anaitullah Rehman, Muhammad Ali, Chan Zahid, Zulfiqar, Sheikh Abdulnafees, Shehzad, Muhammad Bilal, Abdulghani, Muhammad Shoib, Muhammad Irfan, Shahid Mahmood and Abdul Hamid. On this occasion Al-khidmat Secretary General syed Ahsanullah Waqas said that in the jail criminal learns new ways to commit crimes so they must be released after the completion of their punishment. Other officials of Al-khidmat Foundation were also present there on the occasion.
