Lahore - June 21, 2012,
Ambulance are first responders in any emergency and are essential for transporting wounded and mortally ill people to hospitals. Many people, all over the country, die each day or become permanently disabled because they were unable to reach a medical facility and receive appropriate medical care on time. These include victims of automobile, or any other type of accidents, victims of natural disasters, severely ill people, as well as women with gynecological emergencies, etc.
AlKhidmat realizes the role of ambulances as an essential component of any professional relief organization, and has, therefore, always sought to expand its fleet and provide ambulance service to more and more areas of the country. Induction of the latest vehicles to join the fleet brings the total number of AlKhidmat ambulances to 175 vehicles
In line with its policy, President, AlKhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Dr Hafeez ur Rahman, handed over keys of three ambulances to concerned AlKhidmat officials at a ceremony held at AlKhidmat Headquarters in Lahore today. Three more areas of the country would now be served by the newly inducted ambulances: Wah Cantt., Chakwal, and Kotli area of Azad Kashmir.
