Food Dispatched For Flood-Affected

Islamabad, 26 March 2012 -

AlKhidmat Islamabad Region has dispatched a truckload of food rations for flood-affected people of the Bara area of Khyber Agency, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

The food rations, which have been bought and transported at a cost of approximately Rupees 0.6 Million, will be distributed among 350 families most severely affected by the 2010 and 2011 floods which devastated large areas of Pakistan. The rations consist of wheat-flour, lentils, rice, tea, and other food items.

AlKhidmat Islamabad Region has been at the forefront in helping flood-affected and internally displaced people and had earlier dispatched a huge aid consignment of 130 trucks at the peak of the flood season.

President, AlKhidmat Islamabad Region, Muhammad Saleem Chaudhry, as well as Asst. Sec. General AlKhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Ehsan Ullah Qureshi, were also present at the occasion.
