The grant will be utilized for the installation of seven filtration plants to provide clean and hygienic water to seven localities in five different cities in Punabincluding Lahore, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Multan. In those localities, water is not suitable for drinking because it is drawn from unsanitary groundwater. Consequently, residents in those areas, especially children and the elderly people, have high risk of facing health problems by drinking contaminated water. Filtration plants will be installed in schools and hospitals of the project areas.
