A conference was organized under the supervision of “The Union of NGOs of the Islamic World” in the city of Istanbul, Turkey in connection with the problems and challenges faced by the Rohingya Muslims and their solutions. Conference was attended by NGO belong from 27 countries. President AKFP, Mr. Abdus Shakoor represented Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. When addressing the conference, Mr. Shakoor highlighted the poor conditions of the Rohingya Muslims in Cox’s Bazar and shared the relief work done by AKFP in Bangladesh for Rohingya Muslims.

Mr. Mushtaq Mangat, Secretary General AKFP, was also present at the inauguration ceremony. Kuala Lampur: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor held a meeting with Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and apprised him about the welfare projects being undertaken by the AKFP in collaboration with Malaysian organizations especially the relief activities for Rohingya community.
The two sides also explored different new ways to enhance the effectiveness of such projects. Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s welfare projects in Pakistan also came under discussion during the meeting.
On the occasion, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Abdus Shakoor also presented a souvenir shield to Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, in collaboration with its Malaysian and Indonesian partner welfare organization, has been engaged in humanitarian activities for Rohingya community since 2012 when the fresh persecution of these people began in Burma resulting in their migrations to the neighboring states. In 2017 as well, AKFP successfully implemented the Rohingya Relief Package in the months of January and February in partnership with PKPU.
It may also be noted here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor is in Malasia where he attended three-day International Conference on Rohingya to discuss the plight of stateless citizens of Burma and seek solutions to put an end to their sufferings. The conference took place in Malaysia’s Putyajara city from March 14 to March 16.
A large number of heads of the organizations carrying out relief work for Rohingya refugees inside Burma and the neighboring countries, renowned philanthropists, human rights activists and representatives of global humanitarian institutions also attended the conference.
Sheikhupura: Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas, Senior Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Mr. Younas Shahid, Secretary General Foundation of the Faithful (FOF) USA gave an inspection visit to Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura. The visited all the facilities of the center for inspection purposes. Management committee of FOF Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura also conducted a meeting to discuss the challenges and issues of the center. Mr. Naseem Abbas, Administrator of the Center presented the progress report of the center in the meeting. Participants appreciated the team work and the staff and suggested improvements in the work execution.
Lahore: As many as 20 volunteers and 3 ambulances of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan participated in rescue operation following the blast in DHA, Lahore. The injured were rushed to General Hospital while the families of the victims were also provided with drinking water and meals. Mr Shahid Naveed Malik led the rescue operation.
Okara: Alkhidmat foundation Pakistan arranged the inauguration ceremony of Alkhidmat study center for orphan children in Okara. Mr. Saleem Sadiq, district president anjman e tajran okara inaugurated the center. The center will help in the moral development of the orphan children of the district. Mr. Faisal Hameed, regional FSO delivered a lecture to the orphan children regarding ALLAH’s love and faith on the inauguration event. Birthday of 3 orphan children was also celebrated on the occasion.
Dir Lower: Alkhidmat Foundation Dir Lower held its District Board of Management meeting to review and plan year 2016 – 2017. Program personnel presented their reports and suggested planning for the coming year. Mr. Fazal Mehmood, President AKF Dir Lower presided the meeting and suggested improvements in the planning and program execution. The meeting was documented for future reference.
Lahore: According to a report presented in Senate, some 80% Pakistanis are forced to drink unhygienic or contaminated water and the situation remains worst in interior Sindh especially Tharparkar. Taking notice of the situation, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Askari Bank Private Limited haved joined hands to install as many as 13 new community hand-pumps in the district of Tharparkar.
A delegation of Askari Bank led by Dr. Muhammad Tahir Mansoori (Resident Shariah Board Member) on Thursday (December 15, 2016) visited the head office of Alkhidmat Foundation in Lahore, where the both organizations singed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect.

National Director AKF Pakistan Clean Water Program Syed Rashid Dawood Bukhari, Executive Director AKFP Shahid Iqbal, General Manager Media and Marketing AKFP Umair Idrees, General Manager Programs AKFP Sufyan Ahmed Khan and Manager RMD AKFP Khubaib Bilal were also present on the occasion.
After the MoU signing ceremony, the Askari Bank delegation also expressed an intention to further extend their support towards Akhidmat Foundation Pakistan in various fields.
Bunir, 17-08-2016: Alkhidmat Foundation gifted wheel-chairs to 8 deserving physically challenged individuals. A special ceremony was arranged in that context on 14th August—Pakistan’ Independence Day.
