Karachi: Regional Board of Management Meeting of AKFP Sindh region for review and planning of year 2017-18 was conducted at AKFP Sindh office in Karachi. Dr. Syed Tabassum Jaffri, President AKFP Sindh region chaired the meeting while program directors and district personnel were also present in the meeting. After reviewing the work done during June 2017 to March 2018, the session discussed future plans, decided goals and upcoming campaigns.
Karachi: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Sindh chapter arranged Annual Training Convention to upgrade the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of its district and regional team members. The training was conducted on various subjects including Professionalism and Leadership, Resource Mobilization and Volunteer Management, Social change agent. Dr. Mushtaq Mangat (AKFP Secretary General), Amir Salman (Director RMD AKFP Sindh chapter), Mazhar Munir, Saad Zubairi, and Abdul Rehman delivered their lectures and shared their experiences about several effective methods to enhance output at workplace. AKFP team members from districts and regional manahement of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Sindh chapters participated in the event.
Therparker is the only district in Pakistan where our brothers in minority (Hindu community) are in a largest number. This much backward area is lacking in Education, Water, Health and food since a long time. The living of its inhabitants mostly depends upon Cattle keeping. In the drought circumstances cattle get deceased by famine. Veterinary services are absent there. Alkhidmat has concentrated this region in Sindh. It has dug and operated more than 1200 Water well, Hand pump and submersible pumps. For health facilities Alkhidmat constructed a superb Hospital and Medical complex in Mithi where diagnosis and cure are totally free of cost. To support them economically we use to arrange there veterinary camps.
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan recently arranged a veterinary camp with the collaboration of a sister NGO of Turkey (TIKA). The purpose of such activities is to get the minorities feel as fellow citizens. And the sense that these minorities are part of us as a nation. Our Religion and conscious guide us to deal with them nicely. We want them to tell the world that they avail all opportunities of peaceful and prosperous life as a citizens of Pakistan. This is a source of the pleasure of ALLAH and a source of making Pakistan strong as well.
Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing ( Trust ) Karachi sent two Trucks to Gawader and Quetta containing Furniture, 25 Wedding packages and 200 Winter packages along with other household goods.
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has inaugurated Fareeda Yaqoob Hospital in Karachi. Mr. Ehsanullah Waqas Vice President Alkidmat Foundation Pakistan attended the inauguration ceremony. This hospital is constructed especially for the deprived communities living nearby the hospital i.e. Bin Qasim Town, Cattle Colony, Gadap, Pipri, Shah Latif town, Gharo, Dhabay Jee and even District Thatta. It is a 50 bed hospital with specialties in Mother & Child Care, OPD. It also has Child Specialists, Blood Bank and all related medical labs.
Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan constructed a hospital near Mitthi. This hospital is a part of large project for which a land of 15 acre is reserved in thar. A veterinary hospital, a School, a vocational training center and a hostel are planned part of this project in future.
More than 100 patients per day are benefiting from the hospital. This project is completed by Alkhidmat with the collaboration of Fareeda Yaqoob family, Charity Australia and Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust.
