Lahore: Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust organized a Prize Distribution Ceremony at Skill Development Center, Lahore Cantonment. The first group of 10 qualifying girls was given completion certificates along with a sewing machine as a gift. Dr. Sumaira, Professor Kinnaird College was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Ms. Saba Saqib, General Secretary AKF Women Wing Trust supervised the ceremony. Cash prizes were also awarded to the teaching staff of the Center.
Rawalpindi: Alkhidmat Education Program arranged a one day training workshop on “Effective Management in Child Protection Centers” at Disaster Management Center, Rawalpindi. Staff of Alkhidmat Education Program of 4 regions (Punjab, KPK, Balochistan and Sub Office Karachi) participated in the workshop.
Mr. Zaighum Mughaira briefed the participants about objectives and aims of the workshop while Mr. Ali Arslan, Deputy Manager Education presented a detailed presentation on “Challenges and Problems for Child Protection Centers”. He also presented Syllabus and Annual Activity Calendar for Alkhidmat Child Protection Centers across Pakistan. He said that children are the asset of every nation and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is creating nation builders through its Education Program.
The honorable guests also appreciated the devotion of the staff, teachers and the volunteers of Alkhidmat Education Program. Certificates were also distributed among the participants at the end of the workshop.
Multan: Students of MBBS from Nishtar Medical College Multan visited Water Purification Plant at Nishtar Hospital Multan for learning purposes. Mr. Farhal Malik briefed them about the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and its various projects for the cause of humanity. They were also briefed regarding Health Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and some of its mega projects. Students appreciated the work done by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
Sheikhupura: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan formally inaugurated Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura on Sunday. The orphanage has a capacity to meet residential, educational and recreational needs of as many as 200 orphans however only 60 children are currently residing at the facility.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the building of Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura where Senior Vice President AKFP Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, President Friends of Faithful (FOF) USA Mushtaq Ahmad Javed, Provincial Minister Muhammad Shafiq Chaudhry, Akhuwat chief Amjad Saqib, renowned columnists Mujeb-ur-Rehman Shami and Hafizullah Niazi were present.
It may also be noted here Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan manages orphanages across the country where children without parents are provided with best educational and residential facilities. AKFP is currently running 8 Aghosh Centers across Pakistan providing boarding and lodging to 635 orphans whereas around 7000 orphan children are getting various services through Orphan Family Support Program.
Sheikhupura: Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas, Senior Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Mr. Younas Shahid, Secretary General Foundation of the Faithful (FOF) USA gave an inspection visit to Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura. The visited all the facilities of the center for inspection purposes. Management committee of FOF Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura also conducted a meeting to discuss the challenges and issues of the center. Mr. Naseem Abbas, Administrator of the Center presented the progress report of the center in the meeting. Participants appreciated the team work and the staff and suggested improvements in the work execution.
Lahore: Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Managat, Secretary General, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan gave a lecture at Riphah International University, Lahore. He discussed the concept of “Volunteerism” and inspired the participants of the seminar. Volunteers appreciated the concepts given by Dr. Mangat and said that they have understood the real essence of volunteerism. Most of the students filled volunteers registration form of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
Layyah: Alkhidmat Women Wing leaves no stone unturned in the welfare of women in the society. Alkhidmat Women Wing inaugurated a Sewing Center in Layyah. The center will help local women learn the Sewing Skills to become independent by earning their living by their own. During the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Sadia Farooq, President AKF Women Wing handed over Wedding Boxes to two poor and needy girls as their wedding gifts.
AKF Women Wing also arranged a training session for the mothers of registered orphan children at Dist. Bin Qasim. Mothers were sensitized on the topic of Love to Allah and Survival in the Poverty. Ms. Shehnaz Baqi, Vice President AKF Women Wing distributed gifts among participants of the event.
Lahore: In a bid to enhance collaboration among the two charity organizations, a delegation of Alkhidmat Germany visited different projects of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and held meeting with the officials of the latter in Lahore. The delegation comprised of Dr. Omar Anwar, Dr. Sufyan Anwar and Muhammad Anawar.
Beginning their day-long tour, the Alkhidmat Germany team first visited Alkhidmat Blood Bank at Suraya Azeem Hospital, Lahore where they were given a briefing about the well-equipped and the state of art diagnostic lab which is serving the needy patients. Afterwards, the delegates reached the head office of AKFP and held a highly productive meeting with the management of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan.
On this occasion, the three-member delegation was also given a multimedia presentation on AKFP programs, projects and activities. They appreciated the work of Alkhidmat. Meanwhile the both sides also agreed to strengthen the organizational setup of Alkhidmat Germany.
The members of the delegation also attended a workshop on “Quality Management in Operations” at Hotel Royal, Lahore and had a quality time with the employees of AKFP.
Later on, delegates also paid a visit to Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura, where they were warmly greeted by the orphans residing at the orphanage. Speaking on the occasion, Alkhidmat Germany delegation expressed their dedication towards raising more funds the orphans.
They also expressed their interest in the health related and Child Protection Center projects to raise funds in Germany
Alkhidmat Germany’s delegates will also visit Child Protection Center located in Sabzazar, Lahore where they will be familiarized with the activities of the Child Protection Center.
Attock: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has successfully inaugurated Alkhidmat Medical Center in Attock to provide state of the art health facilities to the residents of the under-developed district. The project has been completed in collaboration with Qatar Charity.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Sunday in Attock where First Secretary of Qatar Embassy in Pakistan Umer Hassan Al Hail appeared as the chief guest while Country Director Qatar Charity Ameen Abdul Rehman, Senior Vice President AKFP Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, National Director AKFP Health Services Dr Afzal, President AKF Punjab chapter Rao Zafar and local officials of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Qatar Charity were also present on the occasion.
The landmark health project is stretched at 5321 square feet and has been completed at the cost of Rs. 15 million. The project is first of its sort in the area where health sector is facing serious problems, and is expected to benefit 20,000 to 25,000 people annually.
Lahore: The Quarterly Teachers Meeting and Planning Forum of Child Protection Program Punjab was arranged at the head office of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Punjab region in Lahore. The coordinators and teachers from all of the Child Protection Centers managed by AKFP in Punjab region participated in the forum.On the occasion, the administrators of the Child Protection Centers also presented the performance reports of their respective centers. They also apprised the participants about their future plans.
