Orphan Children Attend Turkish National Children’s Day Event

Islamabad: The orphan children from Aghosh Alkhidmat Rawalpindi and Aghosh Alkhidmat Islamabad participated in the Turkish National Children’s Day event arranged by Turkish embassy in Islamabad. They also spent time time with Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan and participated in a number of activities. Their performance and confidence was highly appreciated by the audiences and media persons.

AKFP to Open Orphanage for Syrian Children in Turkey

Istanbul, Turkey: Expanding its Aghosh Home-like services to an international level, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has decided to open an orphanage dedicated to provide residential, educational and other basic facilities to Syrian children who have lost their fathers in ongoing Syrian civil war. The orphanage will be established in Turkey’s Gaziantep city which borders with Syria.

During his recent visit to Turkey, AKFP Executive Director Shahid Iqbal held a meeting with HAYRAT Foundation, Turkey on this matter and visited the orphanage currently being managed by the Turkish NGO. Both sides also discussed the functioning and related procedures of the orphanage.

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Orphan Care Program is already running state-of-the- art Aghosh Homes as well as home-based orphan sponsorship program across Pakistan.

AKFP to Establish Aghosh Home in Charasadda

Peshawar: In a bid to provide local orphan children with equal opportunities, AKFP is set to establish a new Aghosh Home in Charasadda, KPK. The project will cost PKR 190 million approximately. The orphanage will be dedicated to provide educational, residential and recreational facilities. More details regarding the project will be shared later on.

AKFP Women Wing Trust Donates PKR 2.5 million for Aghosh Alkhidmat Murree

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Women Wing (Trust) President Navida Anees presented a cheque worth PKR 2.5 million to AKFP President Abdus Shakoor earlier this week at AKFP Head Office in Lahore. AKFP Senior Vice President Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas was also present on the occasion.

The donation amount is supposed to be used for construction work at Aghosh Alkhidmat Murree. The Aghosh Home is currently in final phase of its completion.

Performance of Orphan Family Support Program Reviewed

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor chaired Annual Board Meeting of Orphan Family Support Program (OFSP) on Sunday in Lahore. During the meeting, the annual performance reports of the program were presented to the participants while planning for the year 2018 was also undertaken. General Manager Programs Sufyan Khan was also present on the occasion.

Earlier on Saturday, a quarterly review and planning meeting of Alkhidmat Orphan Family Support Program was also held in Lahore. All regional coordinators of the program attended the meeting. Senior Program Manager Yasir Altaf chaired the session.

12th of Rabi ul Awwal – Event For Orphans

Alkhidmat Foundation Women Wing, in Karachi, organized an event in connection with births of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Iqbal. In addition to a lecture on Prophet PBUH, a quiz and tableau was also performed for the children. President AKFWW, Mrs. Munawar Ikhlas, gave an inspirational and motivational speech about Prophet PBUH who himself was orphan. In the end, prizes and gifts were distributed among the children.

Program Organized For Orphans in Karachi

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan organized an event for orphan children. A quiz and magic show was also arranged for their amusement. The event was carried out under the supervision of Prof. Khurshid Shah. Ex MPA and Emir Eastern Karachi Mr. Younis Barai was the chief guest of the event. At the end of the event, special prizes were distributed among the children provided from the the donors. Numerous recognized journalists were part of the event as well.
