Peshawar: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has successfully distributed free wheelchairs and winter packages among deserving people in Peshawar and Charsadda cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa respectively. AKFP Community Services Amir Mehmood Cheema directly supervised the both activities while AKFP KPK chapter President Khalid Waqas was also present on the occasion. The wheelchairs have been distributed in collaboration with Free Wheelchair Mission, United States.
Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Women Wing (Trust) President Navida Anees presented a cheque worth PKR 2.5 million to AKFP President Abdus Shakoor earlier this week at AKFP Head Office in Lahore. AKFP Senior Vice President Syed Ihsan Ullah Waqas was also present on the occasion.
The donation amount is supposed to be used for construction work at Aghosh Alkhidmat Murree. The Aghosh Home is currently in final phase of its completion.
Alkhdiamt Foundation Pakistan Women Wing Punjab region distributed winter packages among needy families in District Bahawalpur. As many as 100 families benefitted from the distribution.
At the winter package distribution ceremony, Member Punjab Assembly Dr. Syed Waseem Akhtar was chief guest while AKFPWW Punjab region President Kausar Sadiq and AKFPWW Bahawalpur chapter President Bushra Waheed were also present.
Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Volunteer Management department held “Ambassador Appreciation Ceremony” to honor the young volunteers from across the country who make Alkhidmat Youth Gathering 2.0 a successful event. AKFP President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor, AKFP Assistant Secretary General Ahmad Jamil Rashid, AKFP Executive Director Shahid Iqbal, AKFP General Manager Programs Sufyan Khan and other officials were present on the occasion.
At the ceremony, the volunteers were given away honorary awards and special gifts for their active role in mainstreaming of AKFP projects. The AKFP ambassadors also shared their experience of working on different projects of the organization and their vision regarding volunteerism.
Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor chaired Annual Board Meeting of Orphan Family Support Program (OFSP) on Sunday in Lahore. During the meeting, the annual performance reports of the program were presented to the participants while planning for the year 2018 was also undertaken. General Manager Programs Sufyan Khan was also present on the occasion.
Earlier on Saturday, a quarterly review and planning meeting of Alkhidmat Orphan Family Support Program was also held in Lahore. All regional coordinators of the program attended the meeting. Senior Program Manager Yasir Altaf chaired the session.
Rawalpindi: In a bid enhance bilateral collaboration between the two organizations in terms of social work and volunteer activities, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Alkhidmat Volunteer Management DMC and Riphah Social Welfare Department RIU (RSWD) in Rawalpindi.
According to a statement released by the Department of Media & Public Relations, Director Coordination & Development Rizwan Baig said the agreement will support both the organizations to excel in social & volunteer services. He also appreciated the strong collaboration and sincere efforts of Riphah International University.
Meanwhile, Director Riphah Social welfare department Dr. Azhar Haleem said that the MOU will open more opportunities for the students of Riphah International University to groom themselves in social and development sector. He said he is happy to share that RIU will cooperate with AKFP in every field including promotions, trainings, medical camps, volunteer engagement or project research.
Gujranwala: In a bid to ensure education for street children, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Punjab chapter has successfully inaugurated another Alkhidmat Child Protection and Rehabilitation Center in district Gujranwala. The center will responsible for provision of basic education facilities to the street children free of cost. Locals and representatives of the AKFP were present at the inaugural ceremony. On the occasion, books and winter clothes were also distributed among the street children.
Multan: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Multan chapter distributed interest-free loans among as many as 82 small traders in Multan to help them improve their businesses under Alkhidmat Mawakhat Program. Cheques worth 18 lakh 50 thousand rupees were distributed on the occasion. AKFP Assistant Secretary General Mian Babur Hameed and AKFP Multan President Dr. Safdar Iqbal Hashmi were also present at the cheque distribution ceremony.
Multan: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Multan chapter has arranged a free eye camp Solex Chemicals Private Limited in Multan. A team of expert doctors examined the eyes of more than 300 poor workers of the factory and also provided them with free-of-cost medicines and eye glasses. AKFP Multan President Dr. Safdar Iqbal Hashmi was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the AKFP workers also arranged Free Medical Screening Camp for Hepatitis B,C & RBS at Multan Industrial State where a large of number of factory workers were examined for the dangerous diseases.

It may also be noted here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan regularly distributes free wheelchairs across Pakistan with an aim to reach out every handicapped person in the country under its Community Service program.
