Hyderabad: Alkhidmat Clean Water Program held Inauguration Ceremony of Two RO Water Filtration Plants in Ayub Colony Latifabad and Ameer Hamza Masjid, Pareetabad – Hyderabad. Dr. Saif Ur Rehman, President AKF Hyderabad, Engr. Umar Farooq, Director Clean Water Program Sindh and Mr. Mumtaz Hussain Sahito inaugurated the plants. Engr. Umar Farooq welcomed the guest on the ceremony and said that according to a survey more than 80 % of the population in Sindh is deprived of clean drinking water. He said that these filtration plants will serve a huge number of families living in Ayub Colony and Pareetabad.
FATA: Alkhidmat Foundation FATA Chapter in collaboration with Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust arranged a Relief Camp for IDPs who are returning from IDP Camps in Waziristan. Alkhidmat Foundation FATA distributed clothing, jackets food packages and two lac rupees cash among the returning families. The packages and cash will help these families in bringing their lives back to the track where they had left their homes around 5 years ago.
Tharparkar: Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust dispatched Relief Packages for the effected families of Tharparkar. The packages were received and distributed by Alkhidmat Tharpakar among 90 poor and needy families. Mr. Ayub Charo, Presient AKF Tharparkar supervised the distribution ceremony.
Attock: Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program arranged a discussion session at Alkhidmat Aghosh Attock. The program was aimed at motivating the orphan children to uplift their confidence in seek of a brighter future. Mr. Khalid Abbasi, Ex-Director Aghosh Homes, Mr. Zeeshan, Professor Mind Sciences, Air University Islamabad and Mr. Atiq, Professor IIU, Islamabad were the Chief Gest of the event. Mr. Zeeshan delivered a motivational lecture to the orphan children and conducted a psychological test to check the mental fitness of the children.
Peshawar: Alkhidmat Foundation FATA held General Council Meeting at the regional office, Peshawar. Mr. Waheed Gul, President AKF FATA chaired the meeting where regional personnel of all the working areas of Alkhidmat Foundation participated. Review of the third quarter was shared in the meeting and planning of the last quarter was also discussed. Regional heads resolved that the targets of the year 2016-2017 will be achieved in time.
Battagram: Alkhidmat Foundation Battagram inaugurated Dental Clinic at Alkhidmat Laboratory, Buttagram. Mr. Khalid Khan, President AKF Battagram supervised the inauguration ceremony wehre Dr. Kaleem Ullah Khan, Renowned Dentist volunteered to serve the patients from 9 am to 6 pm on weekdays
Hyderabad: Alkhidmat Foundation Sindh organized a Volunteers Get-Together at Preston Education System Hyderabad. Students and professionals from various universities, organizations and educational setups participated in the gathering. Mr. Amir Salman, Director Resource Mobilization Department AKFP welcomed the participants and delivered a motivational speech. Mr. Nasim Ansari, Deputy Secretary AKF Sindh and Chairman RMD discussed the importance of Volunteerism for the development and harmony of the society. Upcoming Donors Conference was also discussed with the participants and suggestions were noted. At the end, participation certificates were distributed among volunteers.
Lahore: Alkhidmat Women Wing Trust organized a Prize Distribution Ceremony at Skill Development Center, Lahore Cantonment. The first group of 10 qualifying girls was given completion certificates along with a sewing machine as a gift. Dr. Sumaira, Professor Kinnaird College was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Ms. Saba Saqib, General Secretary AKF Women Wing Trust supervised the ceremony. Cash prizes were also awarded to the teaching staff of the Center.
Peshawar: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan held an aptitude test for Alfalah Scholarship Scheme at Peshawar’s Pushtakhara Bala School. As many as 65 candidates participated in the screening test while top 15 students will be awarded with the educational scholarships.
On the occasion, the AKFP also distributed schools bags among 50 needy students in collaboration with Freinds of Faithful (FOF). For this purpose a special ceremony was held at Pushtakhara Bala School, Peshawar. AKF Peshawar President Fida Mohammad Khan and Muhammad Usman, Coordinator Education Program AKF Peshawar, supervised the activity.
Rawalpindi: Alkhidmat Education Program arranged a one day training workshop on “Effective Management in Child Protection Centers” at Disaster Management Center, Rawalpindi. Staff of Alkhidmat Education Program of 4 regions (Punjab, KPK, Balochistan and Sub Office Karachi) participated in the workshop.
Mr. Zaighum Mughaira briefed the participants about objectives and aims of the workshop while Mr. Ali Arslan, Deputy Manager Education presented a detailed presentation on “Challenges and Problems for Child Protection Centers”. He also presented Syllabus and Annual Activity Calendar for Alkhidmat Child Protection Centers across Pakistan. He said that children are the asset of every nation and Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is creating nation builders through its Education Program.
The honorable guests also appreciated the devotion of the staff, teachers and the volunteers of Alkhidmat Education Program. Certificates were also distributed among the participants at the end of the workshop.
