Alkhidmat Foundation Multan organized, globally observed, Hand-Washing Day for orphans. Mrs Fareedah Yousaf (Prof. Islamic Studies BZU) was the chief guest. Mr. Humayun Shahzad and Mr. Adnan Ahmad Chughtai (Representative Xainochem Enterprises) were among the speakers who described the importance of hand-washing to orphans. Mrs. Abida Rao (President AKF Women Wing Multan) also participated.
[ Oct 12, 2017 ] Another milestone for Alkhidmat. Alkhidmat Nassem Memorial Hospital Kohat inaugurated today. Mr. Mushtaq Mangat, Secretary General AKFP, was also present at the inauguration ceremony. May Allah SWT bless the entire team behind this project, especially, Haji Ghulam Ali Sahib for his generosity and patronage.
A rally was setup by Alkhidmat Foundation in collaboration with Hilal Ahmar, 1122 and others. Local leadership and representatives of other stake holders took part in it. Activity included banners placed at different places, general awareness among the public and concluding remarks at the end of rally regarding victims of Earth Quake (2005) and efforts done by local leadership in this regard.
A Day of Prayer was held in School under the supervision of Alkhidmat & Aghosh in Bagh, AJK. Mr. Yasir, the administrator of AKFP Bagh, was overseeing the the prayer. Prayer was led for the victims of Earth quake back in 2005.
AKFP Islamabad visited the Alkhidmat Town in Islamabad that AKFP, proudly, established for the victims of the EarthQuake 2005. Local leadership of AKFP paid a visit to town in order to check overall progress of the town development, met with locals and led prayers for those who lost their lives in earth quake.
National Disaster Awareness Day was celebrated in Gilgit-Baltistan under AKFP GB’s leadership. In collabortaion with Hilal Ahmar, Focus, 1122 and others, a rally was held that started from High School # 1 GB to City Park GB. A total of more than 300 students and volunteers joined in for the activity. Activity also included banners placed at different places and speeches regarding this day when rally reached its destination.

Famous Urdu poet, drama writer and lyricist Mr. Amjad Islam Amjad, receiver of Pride of Performance and Sitara e Imtiaz, visited AKFP head office in Lahore today. While meeting with Mr. Abdus Shakoor, President AKFP, he encouraged the services done by AKFP for Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh. He also contributed financially towards this great cause.
Lahore: As part of its annual plantation drive, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Punjab chapter is set to plant over 10,000 sepals this year. The campaign has been kicked off by AKFP Punjab chapter President Rao Muhammad Zafar. The plantation campaign will also be replicated in other regions on district basis later on.
Multan: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Multan chapter has handed over as many as 30 water dispensers along with water containers to Multan’s Nishtar Hospital for installation in each ward of the hospital. A special ceremony was organized to this effect. AKFP Multan chapter President Dr. Safdar Iqbal Hashmi, Muhammad Ahmad Chughtai (Senior Vice President AKFP Multan chapter), Tayyab Sheikh (Vice President AKFP Multan chapter), Dr. Wali Muhammad (General Secretary AKFP Multan chapter) and Professor Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha (Vice Chancellor Nishtar Medical College Multan) were present on the occasion.
Cox’s Bazar: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Abdus Shakoor has reached refugee camps of Rohingya Muslims in Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar area following the fresh wave of violence in Rakhine state of Myanmar which resulted in exodus of another 400,000 members of the persecuted community. AKFP President also distributed first cache of humanitarian relief aid among Rohingya Muslims at the camps.
On the occasion, he also met with several Rohingya Muslim families and inquired them about the on-ground situation in Myanmar. The refugees told their heart wrenching stories about their migration and the events of violence which forced them to leave their homeland. Abdus Shakoor promised them that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan along with other partner organizations will undertake all possible aid work to minimize their grieves.
Earlier, upon his arrival in Cox’s Bazar, AKFP President Abdus Shakoor held a meeting with international relief agencies to discuss the matter of Rohingya Muslims at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The representatives of Islamic Aid, UNIW Turkey, SAWAB Bangladesh, PKPU Indonesia participated in the meeting. Initially, the participants agreed to launch a major relief operation for provision of food, digging up a well for supply of clean water, medical aid and sanitation of the refugee camps for Rohingya Muslims.
Meanwhile, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Helping Hand are set to jointly hold a conference on the growing humanitarian crisis in Myanmar with reference to Rohingya Muslims on September 12, 2017. “Rohingya’s Humanitarian Crisis: Consultation For Action” conference will take place at Islamabad Hotel, Islamabad where a large number of philanthropists and human rights activists will participate.
At the conference, AKFP President Abdus Shakoor, will also brief the participants on the current on-ground situation and possible measures that can be taken to control the worsening situation.
