Hand-washing Day was observed at Alkhidmat Child Protection Center (CPC) in District Dir Lower. Children were taught about the physical cleanliness and hands washing specifically.

Peshawar: In the wake of growing number of dengue patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Peshawar chapter has started arranging Free Medical Camp, Awareness Sessions and Dengue Tests among the affected people in different areas. People are being examined by expert doctors at Remote Medical Vehicles of the AKFP and free medicines are also being provided. AKFP Peshawar chapter President Fida Hussain is supervising the activities.
Islamabad: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is all set to inaugurate its state-of-the-art Alkhidmat Razi Hospital Islamabad on August 19, 2017 (Saturday). The inauguration ceremony will be held at CBR Town, Islamabad while renowned columnist Orya Maqbool Jan and famous Pakistan cricketer Fakhar Zaman will be chief guests.
On the occasion, AKFP President Abdus Shakoor, AKFP Punjab chapter President Rao Muhammad Zafar, Chairman Health Board Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, AKFP islamabad chapter President Nasrullah Randhawa and JIP’s Mian Muhammad Aslam will also be present.
It is also worth mentioning here that it is a 60-bed hospital will provide basic to high level healthcare facilities to the patients without any discrimination. AKFP is currently running a number of healthcare projects including 19 hospitals, and in 2016 alone more than 6.3 million people benefited from these facilities across Pakistan.
Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in collaboration with Patient Benevolent Society arranged a free medical checkup and health screening camp for orphan children at Lahore’s Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Ahmad Jamil Rashid (Assistant Secretary General AKFP) administered the medical camp while President Patient Benevolent Society Dr. Shahid Iqbal was also present on the occasion. As many as 350 orphan children were examined and provided with free medicines at the camp.
A team of 60 medics including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, and a dedicated team of AKFP Volunteers performed duties at the medical camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmad Jamil Rashid said the AKFP Orphan Care Program is taking care of as many as 450 orphan children in Lahore. Under this sponsorship the orphans are provided with free education, food, healthcare and other basic facilities.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal also admired the Orphan Care Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in an interaction with the newsmen and parents of the orphan children. Refreshment was also served at the end of the medical camp.
Lahore: As the World Thalassemia Day is to be marked on May 8, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Volunteers Management desk arranged an awareness lecture and walk at University of the Punjab’s Agriculture Department to highlight the key reason behind spread of Thalassemia. A large number of students, faculty members and young activists attended the lecture. On the occasion, AKFP Secretary General Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Mangat also addressed the participants.
It may also be noted here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan runs a nationwide network of Thalassemia Centers, Blood Banks and Diagnostic Centers to help needy and deserving Thalassemia patients with the best healthcare facilities.
Attock: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has successfully inaugurated Alkhidmat Medical Center in Attock to provide state of the art health facilities to the residents of the under-developed district. The project has been completed in collaboration with Qatar Charity.
The inauguration ceremony was held on Sunday in Attock where First Secretary of Qatar Embassy in Pakistan Umer Hassan Al Hail appeared as the chief guest while Country Director Qatar Charity Ameen Abdul Rehman, Senior Vice President AKFP Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, National Director AKFP Health Services Dr Afzal, President AKF Punjab chapter Rao Zafar and local officials of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Qatar Charity were also present on the occasion.
The landmark health project is stretched at 5321 square feet and has been completed at the cost of Rs. 15 million. The project is first of its sort in the area where health sector is facing serious problems, and is expected to benefit 20,000 to 25,000 people annually.
