Turkey: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan organized a stall at Istanbul International NGOs Fair where participants were apprised about AKFP welfare activities around the globe, especially the projects related to Syrian refugees in Turkey.
Istanbul: A delegation of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan visited the office of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Istanbul and held meeting with the party’s Youth Wing Istanbul President Osman Tomakin. AKFP President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor was leading the delegation.
During the meeting, Abdus Shakoor briefed AK Party official about welfare activities of AKFP including the projects being run in collaboration with different Turkish organizations. Osman Tomakin appreciated AKFP’s global relief work.
On the occasion, AKFP delegation also invited Osman Tomakin to attend upcoming International Youth Gathering in Pakistan, to which he happily agreed.
Honorary shields and souvenirs were also exchanged at the end of the meeting.
Islamabad: In a bid to mark National Orphans Day on Ramadan 15, the President House held a reception for orphan children from across the country. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and POCF President Muhammad Abdus Shakoor and Mehmet Emre, Country Director of Turkish organization TIKA, were chief guests on the occasion. 15th Ramadan is observed as World Orphans Day around the world on the call of OIC.
Speaking on the occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain advised the orphan children to not consider themselves inferior to anyone rather earn distinction by excelling in education and character to play an active role for human development.
He appreciated the role of the organizations undertaking orphan care programs to ensure bright future for the orphan children. He said the Pakistani society is fully aware of their responsibilities regarding the well being of these children.
The president lauded the parliament’s decision to observe 15th of holy month of Ramadan as a ‘Day of Orphan Children’ in Pakistan, like other countries of the Islamic world.
The National Assembly of Pakistan had decided to observe 15th Ramadan as National Orphans Day every year through a unanimous resolution earlier this week.
Sahiwal: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Sahiwal chapter arranged a charity conference to raised funds as part of annual fundraising campaign. Over PKR 5.9 million were raised on the occasion. The funds will be used for sponsorship of orphan children under Alkhidmat Orphan Care Program.
