Iranian Embassy Officials Visit Aghosh Alkhidmat Peshawar

Peshawar: Honorable officials of Iranian embassy in Pakistan visited Aghosh Alkhidmat Peshawar on a day-long visit to celebrate World Literacy Day with the orphan children residing at the orphanage. A spectacular ceremony was also held on the occasion.

At the ceremony, the orphan children presented several activities highlighting the friendship between Pakistan and Iran and the bond that joins the population of two brotherly nations.

AKFP Undertook Qurbani Projects For Rohingya, Syrian Refugees

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has successfully undertaken Qurbani Projects for Syrian Refugees and Rohingya Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. The projects were executed in collaboration with Turkish welfare organizations CANSUYU and HAYRAT Foundation.

According to details, animals were slaughtered and meat was distributed among the Syrian and Rohingya families at refugee camps in Turkey, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Eid gifts were also distributed among kids on the occasion.

It is also worth mentioning that every year Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan performs Qurbani Fee Sabil Lilah across Pakistan and other countries to distribute Qurbani meat among persecuted, needy and deserving families.

CUST

CUST Students Successfully Complete Internships At AKFP Projects

Rawalpindi: As many as six female students of Capital University of Science & Technology, Islamabad have successfully completed their 64 credit hour internships at different projects of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan as part of a campaign to improve public image of the AKFP. CUST and AKFP had earlier signed a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect.

During the internships, the students worked as volunteers at Alkhidmat Disaster Management Center, Rawalpindi and undertook official activities of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. The students were awarded with certificates of appreciation upon completion of their internships.

University Students Visit Aghosh Homes In Murree, Mansehra and Attock

Murree: A group of Alkhidmat Volunteers hailing from University of the Pubjab, Superior University, FAST University, CIIT Lahore, Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Children Hospital and CMH Lahore visited different projects of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan including Aghosh Alkkhidmat Murree, Aghosh Alkhidmat Mansehra and Aghosh Alkhidmat Attock. The students were accompanied by the AKFP officials.

During the visit, the university students met with orphan children residing at the orphanages and also participated in a number of activities arranged by the local administrators. The visitors praised the services of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in general and Aghosh Homes in particular.

It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is catering the educational, residential and recreational needs of over 700 orphan children at as many as 8 Aghosh Homes across the country. Four new Aghosh Homes including an orphanage in Murre which will have a capacity of 700 children are currently under construction. Meanwhile 6,200 another orphan children are sponsored under Orphan Family Support program.

Eid Gifts Distributed Among Orphan Children At Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura

Sheikhupura: Special eid gifts were distributed among orphan children studying at Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura in collaboration with the employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL). A large number of employees of the PTCL attended the gift distribution ceremony while AKFP Senior Vice President Syed Ihsanullah Waqas was also present on the occasion.

It is also worth mentioning here that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is currently running eight Aghosh Homes in different cities of Pakistan where more than 700 orphan children are being provided with educational, residential and recreational facilities.

AKFP Sindh Chapter Distributes 15 Wheelchairs In Tando Adam

Tando Adam: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Sindh chapter distributed as many as 15 wheelchairs among needy and deserving physically challenged persons in Tando Adam. The wheelchairs were provided in collaboration with Free Wheelchairs Mission. On the occasion, President AKFP Tando Adam chapter Syed Tauheed Shah, Chairmen Municipal Corporation Masroor Ahsan Ghouri and JI’s Abdul Qafoor Ansari were also present.

AKFP Peshawar Begins Awareness, Medical Camps To Combat Dengue

Peshawar: In the wake of growing number of dengue patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Peshawar chapter has started arranging Free Medical Camp, Awareness Sessions and Dengue Tests among the affected people in different areas. People are being examined by expert doctors at Remote Medical Vehicles of the AKFP and free medicines are also being provided. AKFP Peshawar chapter President Fida Hussain is supervising the activities.

AKFP DMC Team Hold Meeting With Child Care Development Specialist Iqra Khalid

Rawalpindi: The team of AKFP Disaster Management Center held a crucial ice-breaking meeting with Youth Mobilizer, Motivator, Resource Mobilizer and Child Care Development specialist Iqra Khalid in Rawalpindi. Both sides agreed to explore the opportunities of bilateral cooperation in future.

According to details, AKF representatives Rizwan Baig (Director Coordination & Development) and Shehzad Saleem Abbasi (APM Resource Mobilization/Training) briefed Iqra Khalid about projects of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan especially Aghosh Homes and Orphan Family Support Program. They also discussed the volunteer Internship plan and resource mobilization contacts in detail.

During the meeting, the AKFP officials also requested the Child Care Development Specialist to visit Alkhidmat Aghosh Homes and submit recommendations for the better development of orphan children residing at the orphanages.

It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that AKFP is currently running as many as 8 Aghosh Homes across Pakistan while 5 more orphanages are under construction. Currently more than 700 orphan children are getting educational, residential and recreational facilities at the Aghosh Homes.

Inauguration Of Alkhidmat Razi Hospital Islamabad On August 19

Islamabad: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is all set to inaugurate its state-of-the-art Alkhidmat Razi Hospital Islamabad on August 19, 2017 (Saturday). The inauguration ceremony will be held at CBR Town, Islamabad while renowned columnist Orya Maqbool Jan and famous Pakistan cricketer Fakhar Zaman will be chief guests.

On the occasion, AKFP President Abdus Shakoor, AKFP Punjab chapter President Rao Muhammad Zafar, Chairman Health Board Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, AKFP islamabad chapter President Nasrullah Randhawa and JIP’s Mian Muhammad Aslam will also be present.

It is also worth mentioning here that it is a 60-bed hospital will provide basic to high level healthcare facilities to the patients without any discrimination. AKFP is currently running a number of healthcare projects including 19 hospitals, and in 2016 alone more than 6.3 million people benefited from these facilities across Pakistan.

AKFP Women Wing Ambassadors Visit Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikupura

Sheikhupura: As many as 18 ambassadors of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Women Wing visited Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikupura and met with the orphan children residing at the orphanage. The visiting delegation was led by AKFP WW President Talat Zaheer and Kalsoom Ranjha (Secretary General, AKFP WW).
On the occasion, AKFP Volunteers Management Program arranged special orientation session for the visitors to brief them about facilities being provided to the orphans and other projects being undertaken by AKFP Women Wing.
A detailed medical checkup of orpahn children was also carried out by a Volunteer Doctor. Afterwards, volunteers celebrated the birthday of an orphan and ate lunch with the orphan children.
Earlier, before departure to Aghosh Alkhidmat Sheikhupura, the volunteers and officials of AKFP Women Wing also held a meeting with AKFP president Abdus Shakoor and AKFP Secretary General Dr. Mushtaq Mangat at Lahore Head Office.
