Two-member AKFP Delegation to Visit Flood-hit Sri Lanka

Colombo: Amid heavy floods across Sri Lanka, a two-member delegation of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is set to leave for Sri Lanka on Saturday to review rescue activities. AKFP Secretary General Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Mangat and Dr. Hafeezure Rehman will also deliver relief goods for the flood affectees.

The AKFP is undertaking relief operation in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Serendib Foundation for Relief & Development (SFRD Sri Lanka).

It is also pertinent to be mentioned here that more than half a million people have been affected by latest floods in Sri Lanka while around 200 people have also died. A large number of people have also been forced to relocate amid tough situation across the country.

AKF Clean Water Program Installs Community Hand Pump In Tharparkar

Tharparkar: Importance of water cannot be denied in any sense, especially in the development of human communities. Alkhidmat Clean Water program ensures the provision of clean drinking water through various ways including Community Hand Pumps which serve the purpose of providing clean water to a whole community.

Tharparkar is a declared water deficient district of Sindh. People travel miles to access drinkable water which can’t be guaranteed as pure and safe. AKF Clean Water Program installed a community Hand Pump in Diplo, Tharparkar. The project will help 220 families of Tehsil Diplo in getting clean and hygienic drinking water at their doorstep.

3rd Moral Value Taught To Orphan Children In Timergara

Timergara: Alkhidmat Orphan Care program held an activity under its Child Care and Development Program at Orphan Study Center, Timergara. All the orphan children of the center participated in the activity. Children were given lectures to understand the concept of “Tolerance”. Orphan Care Program has developed a complete curriculum containing several activities for the moral upbringing of orphan children. 96 sponsored orphans were also awarded for getting good positions in School’s Annual Function. Refreshment was given to all the children after successful completion of the activity.

More Than Rs. 2.1 Million Funds Raised At Gojra Donor Conference

Gojra:  Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has raised more than 2.1 Million rupees at a donor conference held in Gojra. A large number of locals and officials of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan attended the charity event. This was the part of AKFP’s fundraising campaign 2017.

Assistant Secretary General AKFP Ahmed Jamil Rashid presided over the conference while Mian Waqas Waheed, Vide President AKF Punjab was guest in the event.Ahmed Jamil Rashid started the event with briefing the AKFP’s all 7 programs. He presented souvenirs to the guests and participants of the event.

It may also be noted here that the funds raised at the donor conference will be spent on sponsorship of orphan children under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s Orphan Care Program. The program sponsors over 7,200 orphans across the country

Planning & Review Meeting Arranged At Alkhidmat Hospital Tharparkar

Tharparkar: Alkhidmat Health Program Tharparkar arranged its planning and review meeting at Alkhidmat Hospital Tharparkar. Dr. Hafeez U Rehman, Former President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan appreciated the bold step taken by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for constructing a complete hospital for the poor people of Tharparkar. He said that the hospital will provide free medical outdoor services to the patients while “Save Mother, Save Child” program will also be linked with the hospital soon.

Dengue Awareness Lecture Arranged At Govt. High School Totan Gaan

Malakand: Alkhidmat Foundation Malakand arranged an awareness lecture on “Dengue Fever” at Govt. High School, Totan Gaan. Dr. Masood delivered an informative presentation to the children and teachers of the school. Mr. Arshad Ali Khan, Focal Person of the Govt. of KPK also briefed the reasons and curative measures for Dengue Fever to the students.

AKFP Arranges Health Screening Camp For 350 Orphans

Lahore: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in collaboration with Patient Benevolent Society arranged a free medical checkup and health screening camp for orphan children at Lahore’s Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Ahmad Jamil Rashid (Assistant Secretary General AKFP) administered the medical camp while President Patient Benevolent Society Dr. Shahid Iqbal was also present on the occasion. As many as 350 orphan children were examined and provided with free medicines at the camp.

A team of 60 medics including doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, and a dedicated team of AKFP Volunteers performed duties at the medical camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahmad Jamil Rashid said the AKFP Orphan Care Program is taking care of as many as 450 orphan children in Lahore. Under this sponsorship the orphans are provided with free education, food, healthcare and other basic facilities.

Dr. Shahid Iqbal also admired the Orphan Care Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in an interaction with the newsmen and parents of the orphan children. Refreshment was also served at the end of the medical camp.

Multan: Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan raised more than Rs. 7.2 million funds for Orphan Care Program at Multan Charity Dinner held on Thursday night. Famous poets Salman Gilani and Zahid Fakhri were chief guests while AKFP Senior Vice President Syed Ihsanullah Waqas was also present on the occasion. A large number of locals and AKFP workers attended the event.

Gujrat Donor Conference Shines With Rs.10 Million Funds, Land Donations

Gujrat: More than Rs. 10 million funds were raised for Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan at Gujrat Donor Conference held on Wednesday night. Additionally, land worth Rs.25 million was also donated by the generous locals.

Renowned poets Amjad Islam Amjad and Khalid Masood were chief guests while Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan President Abdus Shakoor was also present at the event. A large number of AKFP officials, donors and locals participated in the charity dinner.
